Ron Clark Dances with Students
Trill or Not Trill is ALL about connecting with students in alternative ways. “It’s hard to explain the Ron Clark Academy. It is a place that’s about passion, energy,” co-founder Ron Clark once said in an interview with CBS News. Clark exhibited such fierceness by rocking out with some of his amazing students. This highly competitive school produces some great students. Seeing a teacher and co founder rock out is very TRILL.
3 Reasons Why this is Trill
1. Connecting with students is beyond important. Such an ability to relate certainly impacts, education and leadership. Today it’s the Nae Nae, tomorrow it’s in depth conversations about American troops and ISIS. Connection is a key to learning. I’ll listen way more intently if there’s a feeling that you get me.
2. Effectively using social media in education isn’t is not easy. This video went viral and was picked up by countless media outlets. It was also spread throughout by former students of the school. This shows that a long standing relationship was cultivated and will continue. These students will eventually give back to future students and to the school. They were impacted yesterday will shortly do the impacting themselves, tomorrow.
3. When done right, education is something that bridge racial, gender, age and socioeconomic gaps with ease. The school’s mission is as follows: To deliver the highest quality educational experience where global citizens are born through advanced rigor, engaging teaching methods, and a passionate climate and culture. This video is more than just dancing. It truly follows the model of thinking that is expressed in that trill choreography.
4. Ron Clark’s Milly Rock was excellent. Some of us are still learning.
Stay trill, folks.
